Gauhati University has released an official notification regarding the admission of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) for the session 2023-24. As per the official notification, GU will conduct a common entrance test called GUBEDCET to select the meritorious students. Students who are eligible as per the notification and willing to get admission in B.Ed must submit their application form online mode to participate in the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria of GU B.Ed. Admission
A candidate may be allowed to appear in the GUBEDCET-2024 provided that he/she has passed the B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com. or MA/ MSc/M.Com or equivalent degree programme form a recognised Board/University with at least 50% marks (or 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD).

Duration of the GUBEDCET-2024: 2 hours

Test Centres
Candidates will be able to appear in any one of the following GUBEDCET-2021 Centres and the same shall have to be indicated while filling up the online form. A candidate has to select any three examination Centres. A candidate will be assigned in any one of the following Centres based on the feasibility of a particular Centre.
Guwahati, Nagaon, Nalbari, Barpeta, Jorhat, Dhubri, Rangia, Morigaon, Goalpara, Tezpur, Mangaldai, Pathsala.
Other Details of GUBEDCET 2024
1. All questions will be of MCQ type with four alternative choices of which only one answer will be the correct option.
2. The test Booklet and the OMR will be in English. The test will be OMR based.
3. For every right answer, 4 marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. There will no marking for unattempted questions.
